Do I really pay no sales tax?

Yes. Sprinter Generator is based in Whitefish, Montana, which has no state sales tax. We do not collect sales tax on any orders, regardless of where you are located. Depending on your state, you may be responsible for use tax — consult your tax advisor.

How long does shipping take?

Most generators ship within 2-4 weeks from PowerTech’s facility in Leesburg, Florida via freight/LTL carrier. Exact shipping timelines and freight costs are confirmed approximately 2 weeks before delivery and added to your order.

When is my card charged?

When you place an order, your credit card is authorized (a hold is placed) but not charged. We only capture (charge) your card when your generator is confirmed ready to ship. This protects you in case of any delays or changes to your order.

What is the warranty?

All PowerTech generators come with the full manufacturer warranty. As an authorized dealer, your warranty is backed directly by PowerTech. Contact us for specific warranty details for your model.

Can I run a PowerTech diesel generator from my Sprinter’s fuel tank?

Yes! PowerTech diesel generators are designed to draw fuel directly from your vehicle’s diesel tank using a high-lift fuel pump. This means one fuel source for both your vehicle and your generator — no separate fuel cans needed.

What’s the difference between open and enclosed generators?

Open generators have the engine and alternator exposed (with a protective frame). They’re lighter, more customizable, and less expensive. Enclosed generators are housed in a sound-attenuated enclosure, making them significantly quieter — ideal for applications where noise is a concern, like campgrounds, residential areas, or mobile businesses.

What does DEF-free mean?

DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid) is required on many modern diesel engines to meet emissions standards. All PowerTech diesel generators (except the PTJ-60) are DEF-free, meaning no additional fluids, no DEF system maintenance, and one less thing that can break down.
